Ehm, sebenarnya ini web drama Korea anak SMP tapi MrsBuckwheat tonton karena MrsBuckwheat juga pernah jadi anak SMP kok kekekeke....

Judul aslinya "남자 사람 친구" (baca: Namja Saram Chingu) alias "Teman Laki-laki". Bercerita tentang seorang anak perempuan bernama Soon-jung yang tiba-tiba menerima mandat untuk sekolah di Amerika Serikat bersama kakaknya. Dia hanya diberi waktu 2 minggu untuk bersiap-siap walaupun sebenarnya Soon-jung nggak mau pindah ke luar negeri. Dia nggak mau berpisah dengan teman-temannya.

Drama sepanjang 14 episode ini ditayangkan di kanal Super Cool Kids Lab di V LIVE. Setiap episodenya berdurasi antara 10 sampai 15 menit saja. Dan, telah dilengkapi dengan beberapa pilihan teks terjemahan. MrsBuckwheat akan mereview 2 episode pertama khusus buat kalian semua :D.

Um, actually this is a Korean web drama about middle school students, but Mrs. Buckwheat watches it because Mrs. Buckwheat was once a middle school student. Ha-ha.

The original title is "남자 사람 친구" (read: Namja Saram Chingu) aka "Boy Friend". Tells the story of a girl named Soon-jung who suddenly receives a mandate from her mother to go to school in the United States with her sister. She was only given 2 weeks to get ready even though Soon-jung didn't want to move abroad. She doesn't want to part with her friends.

This 14-episodes drama aired on the channel Super Cool Kids Lab on V LIVE. Each episode lasts only 10 to 15 minutes. And, it has several choices of subtitles. Mrs. Buckwheat will review the first 2 episodes specially for all of you: D.

EPISODE 1

Pagi itu Soon-jung turun untuk sarapan bola-bola nasi (jumeok bap) di dapur. Dia menelepon seseorang sementara ibunya sibuk membuat bola-bola nasi. Seseorang yang ditelpon itu hanya menjawab telpon Soon-jung dengan jarinya. Dan, langsung mematikannya lagi.

That morning Soon-jung goes downstairs to have breakfast of rice balls (jumeok bap) in the pantry. She called someone while her mother was busy making rice balls. Someone on the call just answers Soon-jung's phone with his finger. And, immediately turn it off again.


Ibu mengingatkan Soon-jung bahwa waktunya akan segera tiba dan Soon-jung sebaiknya mulai beberes. Soon-jung terlihat tidak senang. Ia bilang ia nggak mau berangkat. Tetapi, ibunya bersikeras, Soon-jung wajib pergi. Ia harus bisa belajar dengan baik seperti kakaknya, Soon-jin. Soon-jung terus membantah sang ibu, membuat ibunya kesal.

Mother reminds Soon-jung that the time will soon arrive and Soon-jung should start packing. Soon-jung looks unhappy. She says that she didn't want to leave. But, her mother insists, Soon-jung is obliged to leave. She must be able to study well like her sister, Soon-jin. Soon-jung continues to argue her mother, annoys Soon-jung's mother.


Nggak peduli, Soon-jung mencoba menelepon sekali lagi. Ketika akhirnya teleponnya dijawab, ia mengomel. Ternyata yang ditelpon adalah Park Jun-ho, temannya. Soon-jung memberi waktu Jun-ho 10 menit untuk bersiap.

Doesn't care, Soon-jung tries to call once more. When finally the call was answered, she grumbled. It turned out that the one who was called was Park Jun-ho, her friend. Soon-jung gives Jun-ho 10 minutes to get ready.


Saat ibunya mengeluh tentang sikap Soon-jung. Soon-jung mengaku bahwa ia mirip ayahnya, sama sekali nggak mirip ibunya. Membuat Ibu lebih jengkel. Soon-jin datang dan Ibu bersikap baik padanya. Soon-jung mencibir kesal. Ia menyalahkan Soon-jin atas keputusan Ibu. Sekarang Ibu benar-benar marah dan menyuruh Soon-jung cepat berangkat ke sekolah.

When her mother complains about Soon-jung's attitude. Soon-jung claims that she looks like her father, not at all like her mother. Makes Mother more annoyed. Soon-jin comes and Mother is nice to her. Soon-jung pouts annoyedly. She blames Soon-jin for Mother's decision. Now, Mother is really angry and tells Soon-jung to quickly go to school.


Soon-jung pergi dengan membawa sebuah bola nasi untuk Jun-ho. Ia menunggu di depan rumah Jun-ho. Jun-ho yang belum sarapan, menerimanya dengan senang. Mereka berangkat ke sekolah tanpa Soon-jin. Jun-ho bertanya apakah Soon-jung sedang berantem dengan Soon-jin. Soon-jung hanya tertawa, nggak mau cerita.

Sesampainya di sekolah mereka bertemu dengan Seol dan teman-teman lainnya. Selain itu, ada seseorang yang menunggu Soon-jung di tangga sekolah. Ia adalah Ji Woo-bin senior kelas 3.

Soon-jung goes outside bringing a rice ball for Jun-ho. She waits in front of Jun-ho's house. Jun-ho, who hasn't had breakfast, accepts it with pleasure. They leave for school without Soon-jin. Jun-ho asks if Soon-jung is fighting with Soon-jin. Soon-jung just laughs, doesn't want to tell.

Arriving at school they meet with Seol and other friends. Besides that, there is someone waiting for Soon-jung on the school stairs. He is a 3rd-year sunbae, Ji Woo-bin.


Senior Woo-bin memberi Soon-jung sebuah buket bunga baby's breath. Ia menjelaskan makna bunga baby's breath yang berarti cinta. Jadi bunga itu cocok untuk menyatakan cinta. Soon-jung malu-malu menerima buket itu, berterima kasih kepada senior Woo-bin, dan langsung berlari pergi. Seol dan Jin-shil mengejarnya.

Woo-bin sunbae gives Soon-jung a bouquet of baby's breath flowers. He explaines the meaning of baby's breath flower which means love. So the flower is suitable for expressing love. Soon-jung shyly accepts the bouquet, thanks Woo-bin sunbae, and immediately runs away. Seol and Jin-shil chase after her.


Gwi-dong, Seung-min, Jin-shin, dan Seol sedang bersantai di ruangan klub siaran CBC (Chusimjung Broadcasting Center). Soon-jung datang dengan buket baby's breath di tangannya. Teman-temannya menggodanya tentang pernyataan cinta senior Woobin. Jun-ho masuk ke dalam ruangan disusul anggota CBC lainnya, pasangan senior tahun ke-2, Se-jong dan Yoo-na. Pasangan ini terlalu manis dan narsis sampai-sampai para juniornya merinding.

Gwi-dong, Seung-min, Jin-shin, and Seol are relaxing in the CBC broadcast club room (Chusimjung Broadcasting Center). Soon-jung comes with a bouquet of baby's breath in her hand. Her friends teased her about Woobin sunbae love confession. Jun-ho goes into the room followed by other CBC members, a 2nd-year sunbae coupl , Se-jong and Yoo-na. This pair is too sweet and narcissistic to the extent that the juniors shiver.


Guru pembimbing CBC mengumumkan, jadwal siaran makan siang hari itu diisi oleh Soon-jung. Beliau juga mengingatkan Seol untuk nggak memutar lagu-lagu BTS terus-menerus.

Di ruang siaran, Seol, Jin-shil, dan Soon-jung bersiap-siap. Soon-jung terlihat lesu. Teman-temannya menanyakan penyebabnya. Ia berterus terang kalau sepertinya mereka akan berpisah. Soon-jung menceritakan kejadian semalam. Ibunya memberi kabar, Soon-jin dan Soon-jung akan dikirim untuk belajar ke Amerika Serikat. Sementara Soon-jin setuju, Soon-jung menolak mentah-mentah. Kalau pindah ke Amerika Serikat, ia nggak bisa lagi bersama teman-temannya. Tetapi, Ibu menjawab, mengapa perlu teman-teman kalau tujuannya adalah belajar?. Wow!

CBC's teacher announces that the lunch broadcast schedule for the day was filled by Soon-jung. He also reminds Seol not to play BTS songs continuously.

In the broadcast room, Seol, Jin-shil, and Soon-jung get ready. Soon-jung looks lethargic. Her friends asked why. She said frankly that it seemed they would split up. Soon-jung recounts the incident last night. Her mother gave the news, Soon-jin and Soon-jung will be sent to study in the United States. While Soon-jin agreed, Soon-jung refused. If she moved to the United States, she could no longer be with her friends. But, Mother answered, why do she need friends if the the main purpose is study? Wow!

Jin-shil dan Seol kaget mendengar pengakuan Soon-jung. Terdengar suara ketukan di pintu saat mereka bersiap-siap untuk on-air.


Lampu on air menyala. Soon-jung memulai siarannya. Senior Woo-bin tampak sedang membaca buku di undakan penonton di sebelah lapangan. Jun-ho, Gwi-dong, dan Seung-min tengah makan siang di kantin. Ketika lagu John Park "I Thought of You" diputar, Soon-jung mematikan mic. Ia meminta teman-temannya membawakan daftar permintaan lagu.

Jin-shil and Seol are shocked to hear Soon-jung's confession. There was a knock on the door as they prepared for on-air.

The broadcast light is on. Soon-jung starts the broadcast. Woo-bin sunbae is reading a book on the bench at the field. Jun-ho, Gwi-dong, and Seung-min are having lunch in the canteen. When John Park's song "I Thought of You" was played, Soon-jung turned off the mic. She asked her friends to bring the requested songs list.


Jin-shil dan Seol kembali menggoda Soon-jung. Mereka ingin ia menerima cinta senior Woo-bin. Nggak sengaja, tombol mic tertekan oleh Jin-shil saat ia duduk di meja. Mendadak obrolan mereka terdengar ke seantero sekolah, termasuk pengakuan Soon-jung. Bahwa, ia nggak bisa menerima senior Woo-bin karena Soon-jung menyukai...Jun-ho! Seketika para anggota laki-laki CBC yang tadi tengah makan siang, beranjak dan lari menuju ruang siaran.

Jun-ho langsung mematikan mic. Gwi-dong memberi tahu Soon-jung kalau percakapannya dengan Seol dan Jin-shil didengarkan oleh seluruh orang di sekolah. Soon-jung panik.

Jin-shil and Seol return to tease Soon-jung. They want her to accept Woo-bin's senior love. Accidentally, the mic button is pressed by Jin-shil as she sits at the table. Suddenly their conversation was heard throughout the school, including Soon-jung's confession. That, she can't accept Woo-bin sunbae because she actualy likes ... Jun-ho! Immediately, the CBC male members who were having lunch, run to the broadcast room.

Jun-ho immediately turns off the mic. Gwi-dong tells Soon-jung that her conversation with Seol and Jin-shil is heard by everyone at school. Soon-jung panics.
