11 Insta Comics You Would Love
Sunday, June 02, 2019This post title should be "MrsBuckwheat's Favourite Insta Comics". Since the 11 of them often seem related to me, hit me in the heart, slap me on my face, calm me down, and brighten up my days, I sincerely share this list to you.
Okay, skip the intro (LOL I already typed it above). Let's jump into the content right away.
1. Fowl Language Comics (@fowllanguagecomics)
This comic is the first comic I follow on Instagram. Created by Brian Gordon, a single father with two kids, its funny and intriguing story successfully touch my motherhood heart. Moreover, using ducks instead of human doodles makes this comic even cuter.
2. It's Weinye (@itsweinye)
Based in Malaysia, @itsweinye portrays a girl who's in her 30's now. I love her detail drawings and daily topics. The red-haired main character is so rich in expression that my fingers immediately run toward "follow" button.
3. Huda F (@yesimhotinthis)
I got no sentence that can describe this comic better than its own description, "A webcomic about the musings of a slightly sweaty Muslim-American woman". The story is somewhat hilarious and amusing.
4. Sarah Andersen (@sarahandersencomics)
Who said a black and white drawing is boring? Promoted as "scribbles", this comic is way far from "monotone" word. Sarah Andersen, an American cartoonist, put a messy haired Sarah as a protagonist who has to deal with social anxiety, body image issues, and laziness. I have one of her books, and I want more.
5. Cee (@relatabledoodles)
Are you in love/hate relationship with your own self? @relatabledoodles stories maybe relate to you, my Dear... 'Coz it often relates to me ha-ha. Its primary character sometimes frankly expresses her hate to herself in a subtle way.
6. JaneyJane (@thepigeongazette)
Although not all of the stories in this comic is about Jane, she is the main and also my most fave character. Her interactions in daily life from a jobless to an employee show Jane as a.... truly clumsy and clueless girl?? Anyone can help me to summarize this? (Do I sound like Jane?)
7. JANG (@jangandfox)
Presenting an exact dose of sweetness, this comic is filled by friendship, kindness, longing, calming, and motivational messages. I feel so calm while reading its strips that mostly only consist of two boxes. Dreamy animals, subtle pastel colors, and on-point dialogues. I just can't help loving it.
8. Karen Nawfal (@karencomics)
Mostly drew on a white background, @karencomics tells about Karen and (a bit about) her family who live at Beirut. Karen's big rounded eyes make her look so cute and innocent even though she is, in fact, a playful sister.
9. Cinimomo Comics (@cinimomocomics)
Have you been in a long distance relationship or a large-gap-of-height relationship? This comic tells a lot about those topics. For me, I love its sweetness and childlike vibe. So good to see my weirdness presented in a cuter way.10. Juliette (@artbyjuliet)
A bilingual comic by Juliette, a French comic artist. I'm so thrilled for finding this comic on Instagram. Beside its funny and related stories, the French version which available on each post 2nd slide is such a hidden treasure. A handy reminder for my now-minus-a-gazillion French skill.
11. Hedger Humor (@adriennehedger)
And last but not least, a comic which becomes my practical benchmark for "abnormalities" in parenthood. Well, Hedger Humor shows their entertaining family daily stories that mainly revolve around motherhood and kids. So apparently, those kids strange behaviours are totally normal. Of course, for their age.
